I ordered this 10.1 inch stereo to replace the old, outdated factory radio in my 2016 Chevy Silverado. I was honestly a little nervous about the instalation because modern truck wiring can be a total nightmare, but this kit was actully pretty straight forward. It comes with the custom dash trim piece that fits perfectly, so once you get the old plastic bezel popped out, this just snaps right into place and makes the dash look ten times more modern. It seriously looks like it could have come from the dealership like this.
The 10.1-inch screen is absolutly massive. It basically looks like you have a giant iPad mounted in the center console. The touch response is super smooth and fast, not laggy or unresponsive like some of those cheaper android units I’ve tried in the past. The Apple Carplay connects almost instantly over bluetooth as soon as I start the truck, which is amazing for pulling up maps and playing Spotify on my commute without having to dig my phone out of my pocket and plug it in every single time.
It also came with a new HD backup camera in the box. Running the video wire all the way from the tailgate, under the truck, and up into the cab took a bit of time and patience, but the picture quality on this big screen is way better and brighter than my old tiny factory camera. I was also really suprised that my steering wheel volume and track controls still work perfectly right out of the box without having to buy any extra expensive wiring adapters. If your tired of your clunky GM radio and want something with all the new tech features, I highly recomend this unit. It completly changes the feel of the interior!
